Each year, America’s high-tech industries must import tens of thousands of workers to fill jobs for which they can find no qualified American graduates. In an economy driven by technological innovation, skills in science and mathematics are essential.
Under grants received from public sector funders including the National Science Foundation, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Education, as well as corporate and foundation partners, the Foundation produced more than 70 educational video programs designed to invigorate mathematics and science instruction.
This work has received more than 150 awards, including three Peabody awards.
FASE continues in its mission to inspire students to find their path to STEM careers. Its award winning series – FUTURES with Jaime Escalante impacted many students who went on to STEM careers.
To this day Jaime Escalante (KEMO) continues to inspire. From educators to students to families he points the way to the possibilities in STEM careers.
FASE is assisting in a campaign to help broaden STEM participation to help fill the need for graduates that meet the STEM career needs in the U.S. for the next several decades.
